
To make this delicious, crunchy, nutty, and flavourful granola all you need 9 ingredients. It’s quick and O so easy. The ingredients are all healthy, natural and with each having their own nutritional benefits. This delicious homemade granola can be enjoyed in many ways then a breakfast. You can use it as a crunchy topping on your favourite smoothie. Serve it on some sliced fruit for a nice crunch. It also works well served on a good scoop of ice-cream.
- Ingredients
- 2 Cups (250ml +250ml) rolled oats
- 50g almonds – whole or chopped
- 50g pecans or cashews – whole or chopped.
- 30 ml white sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup (60ml) pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 cup (60ml) sunflower seeds
- 3 Tbsp (45ml) coconut oil
- 6 Tbsp xylitol
- 1/4 cup (60ml) dried cranberries
- This is how:
- First preheat your oven at 150c (fan)
- All you need to do is mix all the dry ingredients together in a big bowl (Accept the cranberries).
- Line a baking pan with baking paper.
- Top the mixture onto the baking pan. Even out the mixture nicely.
- Bake for 15-20 at 150 c (fan) no fan bake for 40 minutes.
- Let it cool and break it up into chunky pieces.
- Mix in the cranberries.
- Serve with plant-based milk or vegan yogurt, strawberries, blueberries and bananas. (Add or omit fruit to your liking.
- Note: You may replace the xylitol with brown sugar or 1/4 cup pure maple syrup. You may also use Stevia syrup. Stevia is very sweet, so careful with the quantity.
